About the role

The Fund Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Daily Administration process and producing Annual Financial Statements and Tax Returns.

In executing this role, The Fund Accountant must be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and collaboration skills to deliver excellent customer service. By embodying these qualities, candidates contribute significantly to the organisation's success and uphold its standard of excellence.

Accounting & Compliance requirements:

  • High level of accountability which provides customer outcomes.
  • Interpret financial transactions with source documents independently with minimal support.
  • Process Daily transactions and keeping funds reconciled to date independently with minimal support.
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and tax return within the defined timeframe independently with minimal support.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures with ease.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
  • Strong understanding of SuperMate and Quality controls.
  • Strong verbal communication with stakeholders.
  • Identify and promptly escalate any issues to stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to customer service.

Teamwork:

  • Working effectively within the team and other stakeholders to accomplish Organisational goals.
  • Keeping leadership and stakeholders informed about work status where required.
  • Taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others.
  • Contributing, accepting and assisting in the implementation of the organisational purpose, vision and values.

Requirements:

  • Any bachelor’s or a master’s degree in accounting, Finance with 60% or above. (B. Com/ M. Com/ BBA/ MBA)
  • 0 – 4 years’ experience in accounting field, SMSF preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake professional studies to grow a career in accounting and taxation.
  • Excellent knowledge in Financial Statements preparation and accounting principles.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration within and with other teams.
  • Good level of working knowledge in MS Excel/ Word
